A1 closed in both directions overnight after road traffic incident

Traffic Scotland confirmed the A1 at Cockburnspath was closed at around 00.30am on Friday morning.

The A1 was closed in both directions overnight due to a road traffic incident.

Traffic Scotland confirmed the route at Grantshouse and Cocksburnpath was closed from around 00.30am on Friday.

As of 7.52am, the road remains shut.

Police Scotland is urging drivers to find alternative routes.

A diversion has been put in place off of the A1 at Grantshouse onto the A6112.

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
