A92 closed after crash as man and women taken to hospital

A man and woman were taken to hospital following the one-car crash at Cowdenbeath junction on Saturday afternoon.

The A92 has been closed at the Cowdenbeath junction following a one-vehicle crash on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 12.15pm on Saturday, 8 November, 2025.

The male driver of the vehicle was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries, while a woman was transported to Victoria Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

Police and emergency crews remain at the scene, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area while the road remains closed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A92 is currently closed at the Cowdenbeath junction following a one-vehicle crash. Enquiries are ongoing and diversions are in place.”
