A man has been charged after armed police rushed to a house in Fife.

The 24-year-old was detained by officers following the incident in the Letham Terrace area of Leven on Wednesday evening.

Armed officers responded to calls following reports of a “disturbance” at the home.

The man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance within an address on Letham Terrace, Leven on the evening of Wednesday, June 21.

“He is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday, June 22.

“A report will be forwarded to the procurator fiscal.”
