A man has been charged after a 21-year-old died after being struck by a car near a football stadium in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called after a pedestrian was struck in the capital’s Easter Road area, at around 2.40am on Sunday.
He was later pronounced dead.
Police have confirmed that a 24-year-old man has since been charged in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash on Easter Road in Edinburgh.
“A 21-year-old male pedestrian died in the incident, which happened around 2.40am on Sunday, April 19, 2022.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
