Arthur's Seat blaze extinguished two days after grass fire broke out 

Fire crews have left the scene of a blaze at Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh.

Firefighters left the scene around 1pm on Tuesday after ensuring all hotspots were extinguished.

Emergency services were first called to the landmark around 6.30pm on Sunday, with six fire engines tackling the blaze at its height.

Residents in the local area were advised to keep windows and doors closed, and the public was urged to avoid the area.

Queen’s Drive was also closed by police while the fire was brought under control.

The street remained closed as of Tuesday morning.
