An Edinburgh artist has been bringing cheer to locals with pint-sized replicas of the city’s most beloved pubs.
Keith Crawley has been making miniature models of the capital’s bars – and says his latest venture has been going down a treat with regulars.
He started just with making a replica of his own home, but now he has his sights set on completing every bar in the city.
He told STV News: “I wanted to make something people would recognise. I thought, ‘What do people know and relate to?’ Pubs are ideal – local landmarks, people go there all the time.
“So, I started with The Auld Hundred, just as a start to see if I could actually do it. It came out really good, and I thought, ‘This is good fun. I have to do more of these.’

“I just started making a list and doing different models. People saw them and started asking, ‘can you do this one for me?’ It just kept going from there.
“For people, there are a lot of memories in these pubs. So it’s important that I get it how they want them to look.”
Keith begins each process by visiting the pub to take photos and examine each detail up close. He then uses a 3D printer and traditional modelling skills to lay out the groundwork before he begins painting.
His creations have been gaining popularity on social media.
He added: “The pub owners love it and many have reached out to thank me – it’s great.
“You want people to appreciate it and share in the enjoyment. I get a buzz out of them seeing it.
“That’s validation for me – I know I’ve done it right. I know I’ve done a good job.”
Keith worked out that if he creates one miniature pub a week, it will take him eight years to complete his collection. However, he’s aiming to double his pace by working on two models a week to reach his goal even faster.
He added: “It’s like Pokémon – you’ve got to collect them all!!”
