A biker is fighting for his life following a serious crash with a car in Stirling.

The collision – involving a Vauxhall Corsa and Yamaha off-road motorbike – happened along B9124 Bannockburn Road in Cowie, near to Roundhouse, at around 5.55am on Monday.

Emergency services attended and the 26-year-old male biker was taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

He was later transferred to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where staff have described his condition as critical.

The 55-year-old male driver of the Vauxhall Corsa was uninjured.

Sergeant David Ross, of the Road Policing Unit at Stirling, is appealing for any witnesses or drivers with relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
