An investigation has been launched after a car and boat were set alight amid a spree of deliberate fires in Fife.
Emergency services were alerted to flames taking hold of a garden shed on Frances Row in Kirkcaldy at around 3am on Tuesday.
Two hours later, police and fire crews were called to Edington Place in Dysart after a car was torched.
On Thursday, the alarm was raised after flames took hold of a boat in the Hot Pot Wynd area of Dysart.
Investigators are treating the incidents as deliberate and considering whether they are linked.
Kirkcaldy Community Policing Constable Ryan Taylor said: “Thankfully there were no reported injuries during these incidents, however this reckless crime has caused alarm for those involved as well as financial implications.
“This type of criminality will not be tolerated and it’s vital we trace those responsible.
“I’d appeal to anyone with information on the fires to come forward. I’d also please ask anyone with private CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to review this and bring anything you think may be of importance to our attention.”
Those with information have been urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0754 of November 4, 2025. Information can also be passed anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
