Buildings in West Lothian had to be evacuated after a multi-vehicle crash at a supermarket petrol station sparked gas leak fears.
Emergency services were called to Morrisons petrol station on Almondvale Road, Livingston, at around 7.45pm on Sunday, after receiving reports of a three-vehicle crash.
Officers confirmed that were no serious injuries following the crash.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called, and nearby buildings had to be evacuated “as a precaution” following a suspected gas leak.
The area was declared safe at around 12.50am and residents were able to return to the buildings affected.
Inspector Brendan McMahon said: “We’d like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding, as we worked alongside Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and engineers to ensure the area was safe.”
