Police have launched an investigation after a car was “deliberately” set on fire in the Scottish Borders.
Officers were alerted to the blaze that happened at around 12.30am on Friday on Braeheads.
The fire was extinguished and there were no reports of any injuries.
Detective constable Ashley Black said: “The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact us.
“We also ask anyone who may have private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0194 of September 27, 2024.
“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
