Motorists on the M90 have been urged to drive cautiously following a car fire on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the motorway heading southbound after receiving reports of a vehicle blaze near junction 1a at around 5.36pm on October 25.
Images taken of the car show orange flames ripping through it. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched two appliances to the scene.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze and left the area at 6.04pm. There were no reported injuries following the incident.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “We received reports of a car alight on the M90 southbound at around 5.36pm
“Two appliances were dispatched. There were no injuries reported.
“Crews left the scene at 6.04pm.”
According to Traffic Scotland lanes one and two remain closed and road users are advised to ‘approach with care’.
