A car stolen from a residential area in the early hours of the morning in the Borders may have been driven to Edinburgh.

Police are studying CCTV footage from the area of Hislop Gardens in Hawick after a white Skoda Kodiaq, VRM DA68PNV, was believed to have been taken in the early hours of the morning of Monday, March 25.

Officers said it is possible the car may have been driven to Edinburgh.

A Police Scotland statement read: “Enquiries are ongoing into this theft.

“Officers are studying CCTV from in and around the local area to gather more information and ask that anyone who may have seen the vehicle to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information that may assist this investigation is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 0434 of March 22.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
