A CCTV appeal has been launched after a woman woke up on a train to find she was being sexually assaulted.
The incident happened around 9am on a train which was travelling between Edinburgh and Wolverhampton on October 23.
The woman, who had been sleeping, awoke to find she was being assaulted.
British Transport Police said the man then got off the train at Wolverhampton station.
A CCTV image has now been released of a man officers believe may have information that could help with their investigation.
A spokesperson for BTP said: “Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP, either by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 221 of October 23, 2025.
“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
