Police have launched an appeal after chickens were stolen, decapitated and dumped on doorsteps in Fife.
A number of birds were taken from Easter Cartmore Farm in Lochgelly overnight between Saturday and Sunday.
The chickens were then killed before being abandoned in front gardens and driveways for residents to discover the following morning.
Officers confirmed they are following a positive line of inquiry in relation to the theft and killings.
Sergeant Donald Sutherland said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we would ask anyone with CCTV footage in the area or who may have information that could assist with our investigation to contact police.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting incident 0865 of May 3.
