An investigation has been launched after children were subjected to “threatening behaviour” at a park in Edinburgh.

Police were called to reports of threatening behaviour towards adults and children in Saughton Park and Gardens around 3pm on Monday.

Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Monday, May 12, we received a report of threatening behaviour towards adults and children in Saughton Park in Edinburgh that happened around 3pm.

“Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances.”
