Concerns are growing for the welfare of an elderly man who has been missing in the Scottish Borders for almost two days.
Norman Stewart was last heard from around 4pm on Thursday in the Yarrow Terrace area of Hawick.
The 85-year-old has not been in contact with family since and concerns are growing for his welfare.
Mr Stewart is described as being 5ft 8in, of medium to large build, with short dark grey hair, a stubble beard and a moustache.
He usually wears glasses, has a Borders accent and often walks with a stick, but is not believed to have this with him currently.
Inspector William Telford said: “We are keen to trace Norman to make sure he is safe and well.
“His family are understandably worried and we have significant resources dedicated to finding him.”
“I would urge anyone who has seen Norman or knows where he is to contact us immediately.”
Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3708 of Friday, September 22, 2023.
