Concern grows for missing man last seen three days ago

Concern is growing for a missing man who disappeared from his Fife home three days ago.

Henry Guthrie, 47, was reported missing from Inverkeithing on Wednesday after being spotted leaving home in Hillfield Crescent at around 8pm.

Officers say they are concerned for Mr Guthrie’s welfare as they believe he only has a small amount of money with him and he didn’t take his mobile phone when he left home.

Mr Guthrie is described as white, approximately 5ft10, with greying brown hair and a tattoo of a bat on the side of his neck. He is believed to be wearing a black padded puffer jacket, bottle green t-shirt, blue or grey jeans and trainers.

Inspector Kenny Bow, Dunfermline Police Station, said: “Henry’s family became worried when he didn’t return home and contacted police yesterday to report him missing.

“We believe he has a small amount of money with him and he didn’t take his mobile phone when he left, so that, along with the fact he’s not been in touch with family, makes us concerned for his welfare.

“We would appeal to anyone who knows where Henry is to get in touch or for Henry himself to contact family or Police Scotland to let everyone know he is safe and well.”
