Concerns are growing for the welfare of an 85-year-old who has been missing in the Scottish Borders since Thursday.
Norman Stewart was last seen in the Martin’s Bridge area of Hawick around 10.30am on Friday, 22 September, 2023.
The 85-year-old has not been in contact with family since Thursday and concerns are growing for his welfare.
Mr Stewart is described as being 5ft 8in, of medium to large build, with short dark grey hair, a stubble beard and a moustache.
He usually wears glasses, has a Borders accent and often walks with a stick, but is not believed to have this with him currently.
Sergeant Gavin Liddle said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Norman’s welfare and his family is understandably worried about him.
“We have significant resources dedicated to finding Norman and I would urge anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to contact us immediately.
“Please check private CCTV, dash cam and doorbell footage from the Hawick area and contact us if you have anything relevant.”
Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3708 of Friday, 22 September, 2023.
