Concerns are growing for the welfare of a man last seen four days ago.
Alan Niven was last seen in the early hours of Saturday, July 12, on Tweed Drive in the Craigshill area of Livingston.
The 54-year-old has not been in touch with family and friends, which police say is “out of character”.
Alan is described as around 5’8 tall, of a slim build, and with short red/auburn hair. He has a distinctive skull tattoo on his left arm as well as a scroll-like tattoo on his upper right arm.

Police previously received a report of a man believed to be Alan on Tweed Drive in the early hours of Sunday, July 13, wearing a blue t-shirt, dark trousers and carrying a white bag, but this turned out not to be him.
It’s unknown what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
Inspector David McMillan said: “Our enquiries to trace Alan are ongoing. We had an image of who we believed to be Alan from July 13. Enquiries have shown this is not Alan, making the last time he was seen as the early hours of Saturday, July 12 on Tweed Drive.
“It is out of character for Alan not to be in touch with family and friends, and as time passes, concerns are growing for his welfare.
“I would ask anyone who has seen Alan or who has any information on his welfare to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash cam or private CCTV, which could assist, to contact us.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2977 of July 14, 2025.
