A fire which took hold of a derelict church near Falkirk has been extinguished more than nine hours after it took hold.
Emergency services were called to Main Street in Camelon at around 3.15pm after they were alerted to the incident at the former St John’s Church.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent four engines and a height appliance to the scene to extinguish the flames.
The road was closed by officers after the blaze took hold. Fire crews left the scene at 12.32am on Sunday after the area was made safe.
No injuries were reported following the fire.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
