Driver arrested following Fife crash which left two people in hospital

A driver has been arrested after a car crash in Fife left him and his passenger in hospital.

The crash, involving a white Volkswagen Golf, occurred on the B914 road just north of Kelty just before 7pm on Wednesday.

Emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance, attended the scene, and the driver, a 38-year-old male, and the passenger, an 18-year-old male, were transported to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.

The driver was later arrested in connection with road traffic offences.

The B914 was closed for over four hours before it reopening at 11.15pm.

Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.

“If you were driving in the area around the time of the crash please check any dash-cam footage that you have and contact us if you have captured something that could assist with our investigation.”
