A man has died after the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a lorry in West Lothian.
The 70-year-old died in hospital three days after the incident that took place on the A71 in Livingston at around 12.30pm on Tuesday.
Emergency services attended the scene on Bankton Road between the Lizzie Brice and Newpark roundabouts and the pensioner was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead on Friday.
A 68-year-old woman who was the only passenger in the car was taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries and was released soon after.
The man who was driving the lorry was uninjured.
Sergeant Peter Houston of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased.
“The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this time.”
