Police have closed part of the High Street in Dunbar after a fire broke out at a shop.

Emergency services were called to the street around 10.40am on Monday following reports of the blaze.

The street has been closed between West Port and Abbey Road, and the public is being urged to avoid the area.

Videos taken from the scene show a fire engine stationed outside the Dunbar Community Bakery.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “High Street in Dunbar is closed between West Port and Abbey Road due to a report of a fire at a premises, which we received at 10.40am on Monday, February 23, 2026.

“Emergency services are in attendance, and the public is asked to avoid the area.”
