Google MapsA bridge on the A1 in East Lothian has been closed due to an ongoing police incident.
The Tyne Bridge near the village of East Linton was shut in both directions at around 12.23pm on Monday following reports of concern for a person.
Emergency services are currently on the scene.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
A Traffic Scotland post read: “The #A1 Tyne Bridge is CLOSED in both directions due to a police incident
“Alternative routes and extra travel time should be used currently.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A1 is closed northbound at the Thistly Cross roundabout and southbound at the junction of the A199 Haddington following a report of concern for a person.
“Drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
