A street in Edinburgh’s city centre was closed on Monday after a person was discovered injured.
Emergency services were called to the capital’s Cowgate between Blackfriars Street to the Pleasance at around 2pm.
Road users have been advised to avoid the area.
The seriousness of the person’s injuries has not been confirmed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Cowgate is closed from Blackfriars Street to the Pleasance following the report of a person injured received around 2pm on Monday, August 25.
“Emergency services are in attendance, and the public and road users are advised to avoid the area.”
