City path remains cordoned off five days into ongoing investigation

Roseburn Terrace through to Raveltson Dykes in Edinburgh remains shut after being sealed off by officers.

A path near a footbridge in Edinburgh remains cordoned off five days after it was closed due to a police investigation.

On Thursday evening, a significant police presence, including a police dog unit, was reported on Roseburn path, with a large part of Roseburn Terrace through to Raveltson Dykes sealed off.

As of Tuesday, the path remains shut, and members of the public are being urged to use alternative routes.

Police say enquiries in connection with an ongoing investigation are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are carrying out enquiries in the Roseburn Path area of Edinburgh in connection with an ongoing investigation.

“There is no threat to the wider public.
