An elderly man has been reported after a car crashed into a tenement building in Edinburgh.
Officers were alerted to the incident on Cumberland Street in the city’s New Town around 8.25pm on Friday.
The force confirmed that a 77-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Police attended the scene and confirmed that recovery was completed at around 11pm.
It has not yet been confirmed whether anyone was injured in the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.25pm on Friday, 15 March, 2024, police were called to the Cumberland Street area of Edinburgh, following a report of a car crashing into a building.
“Recovery was completed around 11pm and a 77-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for comment.
