A fallen tree has caused a loss of power to the overhead wires in the area surrounding Edinburgh Waverley on Saturday.
The incident resulted in failure of the electricity supply between Edinburgh and Haymarket, resulting in services being delayed, altered or cancelled.
Network Rail engineers located the tree resting on the overhead wires at Princes Street Gardens.
Services on the the East Coast Main Line have started moving again, however, engineers are still on the scene removing the tree.

A Network Rail post read: We’re working to safely remove a fallen tree that’s resting on the overhead wires at Princes Street Gardens.
“Another team is also working to isolate the immediate area so that we can get trains moving.”
