The family of a woman who was allegedly murdered in North Berwick have appealed for help to bring her body back home to Botswana.
Keotshepile ‘Naso’ Isaacs was found dead by police following a disturbance at a house in Craigleith Avenue on January 1.
The 33-year-old’s loved ones are now appealing for help to have her body returned home to “honour her memory” and bring peace to her family.
Family friend Jimmah James Mokoba has launched a fundraiser to help cover the costs of her repatriation and funeral.
He explained: “Naso Isaacs leaves behind 3 kids, all below the age of 14.
“Unfortunately, her life was cut short, and we are left with a heavy heart and a deep sense of loss.
“As we try to come to terms with our grief, we are also faced with the difficult task of repatriating Naso’s remains to her home country, Botswana.
“This process has been challenging, both emotionally and financially. On behalf of her family, I am now seeking your support to help cover the expenses of Mrs Naso Isaacs’s repatriation and funeral.”
Over £1,840 has been raised so far.
“We are deeply grateful for any support you may be able to provide, no matter how small”, Mr Mokoba added.
“Together, we can honor Nasos’ memory and help her family find some peace and closure.”
Mompati Dodo Isaacs, 37, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday charged with Ms Isaacs’ murder.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
