Firefighters have extinguished a blaze which broke out at park in Edinburgh.
Crews were alerted to the fire at the running track of Saughton Sports Complex around 7pm on Monday.
Clouds of smoke billowed into the air as two fire engines were dispatched to the scene, where a shelter and sporting equipment were alight.
Firefighters were able to swiftly extinguish the blaze in the west of the city.
There are not believed to have been any injuries.
Police Scotland confirmed they believe the fire was deliberate and have launched an investigation.
A spokeswoman said: “Police enquiries are continuing into a fire in Saughton Park, Edinburgh, on the evening of Monday, June 1, where a shelter and sporting equipment were set alight.
“The fire is being treated as wilful. The fire has been extinguished and no one was injured.
“Officers are currently following a number of lines of enquiry.”
