Fire crews are battling a blaze within an abandoned hospital in Midlothian.
Six fire engines were sent to the site of the former Rosslynlee Hospital in Midlothian around 1.15am on Tuesday.
The mental health facility near Roslin, which dates back to the 1800s, was closed in 2011.
Work is now under way to build new homes on the site.
Members of the public are being advised to avoid the area.
Local residents are also being urged to keep windows and doors closed where possible.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 1.51am on Tuesday, July 15 to reports of a fire within a derelict building in Roslin, Midlothian.
“Operations Control mobilised six appliances to the former Rosslynlee Hospital, where crews currently remain on scene working to extinguish the fire.”
