Firefighters are battling a blaze that has engulfed a former convent in Fife Thursday.
Emergency services were called to Station Road in Lochgelly at around 2.17pm after reports of a fire taking hold of the former Cross and Passion Convent.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have dispatched four appliances and a height appliance to extinguish the well-developed flames.
Police Scotland has closed several roads in the area and urged members of the public to stay away.
Images and videos from the scene show flames bursting from the roof. Fire crews can be seen spraying the building with water in an effort to calm the blaze.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.17pm on Thursday, April 10, to reports of a building fire on Station Road, Lochgelly.
“Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances and a height vehicle to extinguish a well-developed fire.
“Crews remain at the scene.”
Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance at a fire in Station Road, Lochgelly.
“There are several road closures in place.
“Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area.”
