iStockThe Forth Road bridge has been closed in both directions due to a ‘police incident’.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that the bridge was closed in both directions around 8pm on Tuesday evening.
They added that the closure will impact buses, taxis, cyclists and pedestrians that would usually use the bridge.
As of 9.47pm the road remains closed in both directions.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
