Four people receive treatment after crash outside Edinburgh Royal Infirmary

Four people were treated by the Scottish Ambulance Service after a crash outside the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Emergency services, including three fire appliances and specialist resources, were called to the hospital at around 3.49pm on Monday after a one-vehicle crash.

The SFRS confirmed that four casualties were put in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. Their current conditions are unknown.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.49pm on Monday, 20 July to reports of a collision involving one vehicle at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and specialist resources to the area and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.

“Four casualties were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews have now left the scene after ensuring the area was safe.”

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
