Police ScotlandA fourth man has been charged in connection with a man who died in a “targeted” shooting in West Lothian.
Billy Watson, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene at Harestanes Road in Armadale shortly before noon on September 12.
Three men, aged 57, 44 and 29, were previously arrested and charged in connection with Billy’s death and have appeared in court.
Corrie McQueen, 29 and Martin Patterson, 44, appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Both men made no plea, were remanded in custody, and are due to appear back in court within the next eight days.
Frank McCarthy, 57, who was also charged with murder, made no plea when he appeared at the same court on Friday.
On Tuesday, police confirmed a 20-year-old man has also been arrested in connection with Billy’s death. Enquiries remain ongoing.
‘Deeply loved dad’
Billy Watson’s family have now released a statement through Police Scotland, in which the 35-year-old was described as “deeply loved”.
His family said: “Billy was a deeply loved son, dad, brother, uncle and friend.
“We are all desperate to find out any information about this horrific incident.”
