Fundraiser launched for teenager in coma after being injured by scaffolding

Nearly £5,000 has been raised for Brodie Thompson, who has been left in a coma.

A teenager has been left in a coma after being injured by scaffolding in Fife.

Emergency services were called to Park View in Kirkcaldy at around 11.30am on Tuesday, March 11.

STV News understands that a part of the scaffolding erected around the block of flats hit a 16-year-old and he then fell. It is unclear how far he fell.

Brodie Thompson has been left in a coma following the accident.

A fundraiser has been launched by Windsor Interiors to help the teenager for any items or adaption’s he may need for returning home.

The fundraiser read: “Windsor Interiors is raising money to help Brodie Thompson, a 16-year-old who had an unfortunate accident at work, which was no fault of his own.

“He is currently in a coma and may be for a period of time.

“I’d like to raise money to put towards any items or adaption’s he may need for returning home to make his like as easy and comfortable as possible.”
