Adobe StockPolice are searching for a man seen carrying out an “indecent act” in a wooded area in Livingston.
The man was seen near Chuckethall Road in the Deans area between 11.30am and 12.30pm on Friday.
He has been described as white, around 5ft 6ins, of average build with dark brown/blonde hair.
At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing dark bottoms, a light silver/grey puffer-style jacket and white running shoes.
Sergeant David Sexton said: “Incidents of this nature can understandably cause concern for the local community and officers will be in the area carrying out enquiries and to provide reassurance.
“We’re appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has information which could assist our investigation, to get in touch.
“Information can be passed to us by calling 101, quoting incident 1349 of Friday, August 21 or by approaching any of our officers out on patrol.”
