An investigation has been launched following the death of a baby boy in Grangemouth.
Emergency services were called to a property on Haig Street in the town on Saturday evening after a five-month-old became unwell.
He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, where he died.
Detectives are treating the death as unexplained. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On the evening of Saturday, April 18, 2026, we were made aware of a five-month-old baby having taken unwell at a property on Haig Street in Grangemouth.
“He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he later died.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
