A road has been closed after a lorry overturned during rush hour in the Borders.
Officers responded to reports of an overturned lorry on the A697 between Gordon junction and the Lauder junction at around 7am on Wednesday.
Police attended the scene and said officers expect the road to be “closed for some time”.
Drivers have been advised to take alternative routes and diversions have been put in place at the Carfraemill roudabout and Gordon junction.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A697 is closed between Gordon junction and the Lauder junction after a lorry overturned this morning around 6.50am.
“Police are at the scene and the road is expected to be closed for some time.
“Diversions are in place at the Carfraemill roundabout and Gordon junction.”
