The A702 has been closed near Silverburn, Penicuik, as a result of the collision that took place at around 4.45pm on Friday.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area if possible.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “The A702 is closed near Silverburn, Penicuik after a crash at 4.45pm on Friday, 28 March, 2025 involving a bus and a car.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.”
