A man has appeared at court charged with raping a teenage girl in a wooded area in Fife.
Emergency services were called to a woodland area between Dunnikier Way and Hendry Road in Kirkcaldy at around 2.30pm on Thursday after reports of the alleged sex attack on a 16-year-old girl.
John Millar, from Fife, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court charged with one count of rape.
The 34-year-old man made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to reappear in court within the next eight days.
