A man and a teenager have been taken to hospital after a one-vehicle crash in West Lothian on Friday.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash on the A70 near Harperrig Reservoir at around 5.50pm.
A white Seat Leon Cupra car left the road and came to a stop in an adjacent field.
The driver, a 26-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. His condition is described by hospital staff as serious.
The 16-year-old male passenger was taken to the hospital and released after treatment. No one else was injured, and no other vehicle wasinvolved.
Constable Andrew Gillies said: “Anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw what happened is urged to get in touch. I would also ask anyone who has dashcam footage of the incident or of the vehicle prior to the crash to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2651 of June 12 2026.”
