Police are appealing for the public’s help following a brawl in a Lidl car park.

A 22-year-old man and two women, aged 20 and 21, were involved in a disturbance with another group of people outside the supermarket in West Lothian last week.

The man suffered a serious head injury and had to be taken to St John’s Hospital in Livingston.

The 20-year-old woman received treatment for an injury to her collarbone.

The incident happened at the store in Longridge Road, Whitburn, at around 11.45pm on Wednesday, May 27.

Detective constable Alan Gibson, of Livingston CID, said: “We have limited detail for this incident and are appealing to the public to help us.

“There are blocks of flats at North Reeves Place which overlook the car park and we’re appealing to anyone there who saw anything to contact us.

“Similarly, if anyone has any information in relation to this incident, please contact us.”
