Two cyclists have been taken to hospital following a collision with an unoccupied van in Edinburgh.
The incident occurred on Picardy Place shortly after 4pm on Saturday December 27. It is understood that an empty van collided with a 25-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman.
The severity of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Officers said enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.05pm on Saturday, 27 December, 2025, we received a report of an unoccupied van having collided with two cyclists on Picardy Place in Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and the cyclists, a 25-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, were taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
