A suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man on Princes Street in Edinburgh last year.
Emergency services were called to the capital’s main shopping street – outside the Uniqlo store – after an unresponsive man was found at around 6am on June 25, 2025.
The 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Craig Sheridan, from East Lothian, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with murder.
The 36-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to make his second appearance in court within the next eight days.
