A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 33-year-old woman found dead on New Year’s Day in East Lothian.
Emergency services were called to a disturbance at a property in Craigleith Avenue, North Berwick, at around 8.20am on January 1 after receiving a report of concern for a person.
When they arrived, a 33-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland later identified the woman as Keotshepile Naso Isaacs, known to her friends as Naso.
Mompati Dodo Isaacs was arrested and later charged in connection with the death.
On Friday, the 37-year-old appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court where he was charged with Ms Isaacs murder.
He made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He is due to appear in court again within the next eight days.
