A man has appeared in court over an alleged stabbing in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to London Road at around 8.40am on Sunday morning following reports of a disturbance.
Medical crews transported a man to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
On Monday, Gary Welsh appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with assault to injury, carrying a bladed weapon in a public place and producing a controlled drug.
The 30-year-old made no plea and he is due to appear in court again on Tuesday, where a decision on bail will be made.
