A man has been arrested after allegedly crashing a stolen car and fleeing from the scene in Fife.
Police were called to a crash on the B922 in the Kinglassie area at around 12.25pm on Wednesday.
Pictures from the scene showed two men running across a nearby field, away from the scene of the crash.
A search was launched and a 26-year-old man was traced at Southfield Industrial Estate, where he was arrested and charged with theft and road traffic offences.
He is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25pm on Wednesday, September 20, police were called a report of a crash on the B922 in the Kinglassie area.
“Officers attended and carried out a search, and a 26-year-old man was traced at the nearby Southfield Industrial Estate.
“He was arrested and charged in connection with theft and road traffic offences, and is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday, September 21.”
