iStockA second man has been arrested in connection with an alleged attack in Dalkeith.
A 26-year-old woman was treated for serious injuries after an incident near Abbey Road on Friday, October 4.
Police confirmed on Saturday that a 27-year-old man had been arrested.
It comes after a 32-year-old man was arrested over the same incident before being released pending further investigations.
Officers say enquiries are ongoing and revealed there will continue to be an increased police presence in the area.
