iStockA 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in Kirkcaldy.
Police Scotland received a report of an incident which is alleged to have taken place in woodland between Dunnikier Way and Hendry Road at around 2.30pm on Thursday, September 11.
Emergency services attended the scene, and a section of woodland was cordoned off as investigations were carried out.
Enquiries are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
